Flare
Get set to experience the height of self-expression and parade in style in our most striking design yet! Flare is a celebration of all things Sydney and it's ready for release right in time for this year's World Pride event.
Flare is an abstract representation that references famous Sydney landmarks and a particular Australian artist whose work is admired globally.
Ken Done is a living embodiment of Australian culture. His aesthetic is personified by classic Australianisms like the sun, sand, and surf, as well as native flora and fauna. We made an effort to emulate Ken Done's style when creating the Flare swim briefs by layering iconic silhouettes like the sails of the Sydney Opera House and the arches of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
The colour palette helps to characterise Sydney’s natural elements and cultural diversity. In Sydney, we get drenched in sunshine for the majority of the year, which is depicted by the ruggedness of reds, pink and sunburnt oranges. The hue of blues and sandy yellow is symbolic of Sydney’s pristine coastlines stretching from the Northern Beaches all the way down to the South Coast illuminating every beach in between, notably Bondi, Bronte and Manly.
Flare creates a rainbow connection that bridges Sydney's beauty to a world full of colour and pride. And this year's World Pride is gearing up to be the event of the decade so you'll need swimwear worthy of the occasion! Shop the limited edition Flare bathers today.
